Peter studied Illustration at Falmouth School of Art and Design and in his native Cheshire. His work ranges from highly detailed pen and ink drawings and watercolours to large canvases in very loose conté crayon and oil. Having studied design, draughtsmanship, technical illustration and architectural illustration, many of his paintings feature romansque, renaissance and baroque architecture. Often creating composites of the most famous of the buildings built in these styles. With his technical skills, he has undertaken work for books and has completed many commissions. He has also done work for the National Trust and produced a series of cards celebrating the unique architecture of his hometown of Knutsford. Has produced much figurative artwork - watercolours, pen and ink drawings and murals - inspired by his love of Roman and Greek sculpture. Enjoys travelling to view pieces and make studies. Increasingly now working on larger scale paintings which have a looser style incorporating architecture, architectural detail, pattern and patterns in nature. Has exhibited in Cornwall, Cheshire and London. Artgallery rating
