After studying architecture in Manchester and printmaking at Leeds, Adam Peters moved to London in the early 80's to work as an Art Director on fashion and pop magazines and later national newspapers. He also worked as an illustrator for the NME, Melody Maker and the Daily Telegraph.
During the 80’s, Adam exhibited paintings at the Groucho Club, ICA and other venues. These works were generally vivid acrylics on acetate - a method and medium derived from his work in print media.
The works presented here are more sober oil-on-canvas still-life pieces - exuberantly painted and which look great in traditional ornate carved and gilded frames.
Recent exhibitions have sold well.
