My work has been influenced by the work of the abstract expressionists and contains reference to the urban landscape. I use sketches and photographs of the city as a starting point. These images are then used to create abstract forms within my painting.
The paintings focus on the activity in relation to the architectural environment, documenting the life of the city from my own personal perspective.
After receiving a fine art degree from John Moores University I worked from the Bluecoat Arts Centre studios from 1999 to 2005.
Throughout my artistic career I have exhibited in regional and local exhibitions. Examples of my work can be found in several private and corporate collections.
