I am a self taught/representing, established artist living in the locality. I have been painting since I was a young child which led me to achieve an A Level in Art of Grade ‘A’. After years of bringing up a family and now having some additional time to myself, I have decided to continue my lifelong interest in art and make a more serious commitment.
I am a very dedicated artist who has put my heart and soul into my work as reflected in the finished pieces that are of my own imagination. My work is always about feelings and emotions. I have used a combination of media to attain the great effects, thickness and textures, waiting weeks at a time for each layer to dry.
All my work is done on Deep Edge Canvas with 3D Effect and comes with High Quality, inset framing, ready to hang.
I have had work exhibited at the Portico Library/Gallery Arts & Crafts Fair, Inspire Levenshulme, Norfolk Little Sherringham Theatre and at Arison Gallery.
I hope people will be able to see and share my thoughts as the work speaks for itself.
Feelings & Thoughts:-
We have seen many Artists in the past and present which have presented many fantastic pieces of work. But these fantastic pieces of work follow a very common and regular type of art which we hear about and see very often. What if we can turn art around and make it something which has come out form the extraordinary? Make it something different but still art?
The art work I create is through how I feel at that moment of time. The colours are carefully selected to bring out the mood and surroundings. Thick textured, luscious layers of mixed Medias are used to give life to a piece of art and make it something to live for. Step by step the curtains unfold and you end up with a beautiful piece of art full of inspiration. Not only is the work to be looked at, but to be felt and touched. It is very tactile moving a person to the painting as if they are feeling something real in their fingertips.
We give our loved ones a fresh bunch of flowers for a get well or Valentines Day. These fresh flowers will soon die away and after some time those happy moments are thrown away and can’t be remembered again. But if you give someone special a piece of art created with so much love and care, it will always be there in front of them to bring those precious memories back.
The art work alone tells you an enchanted story from far away in the past, deep down behind your thoughts. A story which you, yourself can only bring back and pass on from generation to generation to be preserved and cherished forever.
I believe that art is also good for children in many ways, it stimulates the imagination. And builds up their thinking skills in, like the colours, shapes and sizes used. Blind Children, Adults and Elderly will benefit greatly from this type of Art. They can touch the 3D effect Petals or Landscapes with their fingers and feel what they can’t see. This will give the blind person an opportunity to feel and imagine the image a blind less person can see. This makes tactile art even more fun, playful and at the same time enjoyable.
There are many uses of this type of art work in many different types of fields, the possibilities are endless.
