Before becoming a professional artist in 1985 I worked for the forestry commission. This enabled me to see the countryside and coast at all times of year in all its many moods and lights.
Although I have produced many paintings over the years I still feel the same enthusiasm every time I am faced with a blank canvas.
Recently I have derived great pleasure in passing on my various techniques to students in my classes, some of whom have gone on to be successful artists themselves.
