Alfonso García Solano
Born in Cali (Colombia - South America) in 1947.
Empirical artist par excellence, nature inclined to paint a portrait without discarding any of its forms: coal, oil, watercolor.
Artist of natural and urban landscapes, animals and exotic birds.
Manners inspired by nature paint mountains, savanna, the streets of the villages of his country with Spanish influence.
In the year 1972 he is linked to the Military Cadet School under the Ministry of defense where he worked as an illustrator and calligrapher in the audiovisual department, then he went to be part of the Army of the Republic of Colombia where he had the same charge and where he did several exhibitions in-house, showing collections of boats and warships made by ink technique.
In 1982, he made his more succesful and recognize exhibition at the Diners Gallery in New York of his 50 paintings work collection called "Baskets and Flowers" using watercolor and oil on silk techniques.
In 1998 he was commissioned to paint 240 artworks for the sailing ship "ARC Gloria" which is the training ship of the Colombian Navy army covering Europe, Asia, North and South America, showing and presenting Colombian souvenirs and artistic works to the rest of the world.
During his career as a painter he has done several indoors art works such as murals, cornices, cielorazos and different artistic paintings to beautify houses of people appasionate about art.
He has been in several group exhibitions in galleries such as Palette, Bernardo Riascos, The Black Cat. He also has done artworks for clients in US, Denmark, Ukraine, Spain, Germany and Russia gaining experience and style in the international market.
