Artist Alexander Singleton

Based in Manchester's Northern Quarter I work in a thriving artistic community and am constantly surrounded by inspiration. Graduating from Manchester University in 2007, I now hold the position of Art Director for a local magazine. In this role my skills as an artist are constantly being challenged and adapted which has led to a varied catalogue of styles which I employ. From more classically sketched nudes and architecture, to illustrations and street art. Whilst primarily working in pencils and graphite for my traditional pieces, my more modern works hold no such restraints and often use paints, markers and computer editing. My work often features around the details in human anatomy and our interactions within the environment that we habituate. How we effect our surroundings, and how our surroundings can impress themselves on us.
