 Allan Ramsay Ewart was brought up in Kirriemuir, Angus, where he has been immersed in, and surrounded by the magnificent Scottish landscape for most of his life. His involvement with the arts however, was until very recently mainly concerned with music and screenwriting. Painting is a relatively new discovery that has emerged from having had intra-ocular lens implants to improve his eyesight. "I'm seeing Scotland like I've never seen it before. The colours are vibrant and the scenery is spectacular." Although Allan graduated from Napier University of Edinburgh in 1993 with a degree in Finance, Art is his true passion. What is remarkable is the fact that he is self-taught with no formal art education. Artist Statement: "What is the point of life?
