Artist Allison Moore

Originally from Southern California, Allison recently moved to England to marry her husband, who is a typeface designer and artist himself. Formerly an actress, Allison has art in her genes, as both of her parents are artists. Her father, Hyatt Moore, is a professional portrait artist, and her mother Anne is a printmaker. So it was just a matter of time, before their daughter accepted that path as her own. Allison has been painting professionally for several years, both as an interior artist, specialising in murals, and as a fine artist. She has work showing in a variety of galleries, restaurants, and homes. She been involved in many group shows as well as her own one-woman show, which showcased her favorite series based on vintage posters of 1930s Shanghai women. She finds inspiration in anything nostalgic, especially vintage items and photographs and romantic European cities. But her favorite subject is people, whether it be expressed through painting a portrait or having a long conversation over a glass of wine.
