Ally Houlli studied A Level at Sussex Downs Fine Art College. She excelled with distinction.
She then went on to have her work featured in the Victoria and Albert museum London Kensington under studies on self image. One piece featured alongside Michelangelo.
Although she reached A Level grade Ally decided to leave her education there stating-
'I do not wish to learn the techniques of others when Art is about expressing our own behaviours. It seems senseless to me to study something that only I can find within myself. No matter how slow my path or how long it takes, this way I keep my Artistic vision pure'
Ally does not have a specific subject matter, but always manages to convey her feelings and ideas onto canvas in a direct but subtle manner. A fan of old technique she often makes her own canvas and uses only top grade oils.
She is quickly becoming a celebrated artist within the Uk as well as abroad. With exhibitions lined up for 2011 and 2012 Ally Houlli seems to be on her way to becoming a staple in abstract modern Art.Artgallery rating
