Biography
My paintings are primarily influenced by the role colour and light play in our interpretation of space. I prefer to limit my use of colour for each canvas, working with and through the manipulation of light whilst building up layers of paint. Gradually an atmosphere and a partial image emerges from the tones produced, forming either the foreground, the background or a state of the two merging. I divide my time between England and Greece submerging myself in the natural quality of light offered in the Aegean. I have designed and painted numerous commercial works for local businesses whilst living in Sydney and Athens.
