Artist Andrew Douse

I use high quality acrylic paints and mediums to produce a textured and translucent finish to my work. This technique produces a wide range of colour, texture and reflectivity as the paint and mediums move and mix across the surface as the piece dries, giving a sense of the constant motion of nature. My inspiration comes from the natural elements and I am particularly attracted to water and air as subjects through which I aim to express the calm power of the natural world and produce a relaxed contemplative mood in the viewer.
