Andrew is an enthusiastic artist and a keen observer of wildlife he likes to transfer these observations into realistic representations that capture the life and spirit of the subject.
His painting style is varied from classical through to impressionistic. He says "I love to paint animals, each has a unique character which I enjoy the challenge of capturing."
He is a self taught artist and has painted in many mediums but has now settled on painting in oils. He says "I love to paint in oils, I love the control of the varied textures, the vibrancy of the colours through to the subtleties of the colour mixes." Although over the years he has covered many subject matters he currently specialises in animal paintings. Most of his current work is for private commissions of pet portraits. Occasionally works are offered for sale that are not commissioned such works are offered for sale here.
