Artist Angela Pascoe

I am a self taught artist and have been drawing and painting for as long as I remember. This has always been my passion, however I am also a trained optometrist. Having had a break from work to go on maternity leave last year, I have since found this creative part of my life growing in importance. I am inspired by nature, particularly changing weather conditions and the effect of light on the landscape. My work shows my emotional response to the scene and I often use my imagination and memory in paintings, along with images of local landscapes. The changing of seasons in the kent countryside is great inspiration. The morning mists over fields in autumn, the grey light of winter sun through bare branches, and the sun breaking through rain clouds. I also often travel to Wales and am inspired by the huge foreboding mountains in the north and the beautiful beaches in the south. I work in artists quality acrylic on stretched box canvases which are ready to hang. I hope you enjoy looking through my work.
