I am a self taught artist. I have been in love with my pencil since I was a six or seven year old child, always doodling on the back of my school notebooks. I loved to draw faces of people around me. As years rolled by, this love blossomed into passion, but all this time I treated this as a hobby, not an occupation.
After having worked as an illustrator and animator for more than sixteen years, it was only in 2009, when I realized how badly I was missing being an artist. I left my job and started creating art on regular basis again in the same year. I have been painting, reading, studying and observing all this time, constantly improving my skills at pencil, watercolours and oil paints.
During this period, I was also attracted to watercolour, which is a medium quite different from pencil in its treatment, but a joy to work with. While pencil art demands precision, detail and hard work, watercolour is all about spontaneity of expression. These two are perfect foil to each other and give me a sense of completeness.
Presently I am living in Basingstoke, United Kingdom with my family and following my long forgotten dreams.
