It was difficult to call myself an artist until others gave me the title. Little children would ask me if I was an artist and I would say no at first. Then through the years others called me an artist and I gradually began to respond with a yes I am! I consider myself an artist. An artist to me is a person who tries to excel themselves in many forms of art. A painter paints, a musician makes or plays music, and a poet writes poetry. Artist just sums it all up. I write, draw, design, paint, and therefore an artist is what I am. I say this with pride.
From the very beginning of my boyhood I have started drawing whatever I liked to draw. Gradually once I have found myself I could do something with my drawing. It’s amazed my family friends and everybody else even my school teacher as well. They always used to encourage me to draw. Although I never thought I would be an artist and was not really interested to be an artist in fact my study career was totally different it was a field of accountancy. Time goes, after finishing my o level I've entered in college life and got busy with college study. In 1996 I have been introduced to one of my friends named tonny, she also used to practice drawing . She saw my drawings and watercolour and encouraged me to go with my natural abilities. Well, after that, I've started drawing and painting, gaining the experience by using the skills of watercolour. I ve started selling my artwork to my friends and relatives and gaining complements and rewards. Then I've decided to go for local art coaching for two years. Over there I found my guru (teacher) Arbindu das gupta.Well, I've to mention another name Poritush da. He was the great, motivated me how to get more out of my initiatives and natural abilities. Over there I used to be called as a born artist. Those days were colourful with lots of artist friends Mahbub, Suhel, Enam and respectable Shah Alom. Most importantly I've to mention another name my best friend kabir, he encouraged me in every possible way. I am grateful to him. Mahin, passed away from his visual life to find peace in heaven, I could remember him every time whenever I go for draw. Once he snatched away one of my best artwork from my home and was rejoicing for pinched it up. Apperantly, that’s encouraged me that time the way how he used to be my art lover. In my art academy there were one art exhibitions held on and I stood first on that. From 2000 I've started giving lessons to kids and young generations. Additionally I had been appointed as an art teacher in one school named British Bangladesh International School. In 2003 I came to the UK. After that it’s been 6 years I was about to forget myself what I am. Always in my mind I used to feel missing something. My wife advised me to start doing art again and that’s all I am doing now. Thanks to my love she loves my art and the way she encourages me.
In 2010 I have started selling my artwork over the online exhibition by different art agencies. At last I have got my rewards of my determination and hard work. Association of Art & Culture, Italia in Arte, they invited me to join their art contest and nominated me for some other international awards. All praise to be god, I have won the awards in two categories and few of my artworks published in their art and cultural noble.
