| I have always viewed the world as separate pieces of scenery. Each scene holds my own point of view which has an emotional meaning for me. I try to portray my feelings in my work, the goal being to transpose my passion for integrating the irony I perceive in life.
I am influenced by graffiti and the statements graffiti artists make on the streets. I enjoy people’s generalization of graffiti, as rubbish and vandalism. I look for strong lines and patterns in locations such as Budapest and New York. I find graffiti an embrace or endeavour to make the deprived look more pleasant. I actively source and use rundown areas to become my own work.
In my neon interpretations, I hope to deliver a sense of boldness and strong vibrancy into the original photographs I've taken.
I am passionate about my religious pieces, which I re-work and manipulate to give a defined modern style with a funky flavour. To me, religious architecture and art have always been used to extol upon people. The highest thoughts and forms of their time, a wonderful mixture of virtuousness and spiritual beauty.
My attitude towards life is to live it to the full, it is fun. I like my attitude to come across in my work which is fresh, funky, modern and young.
My first exhibition in January 2009 was an over crowded, sell out. It has taken me some time to gain my full confidence in this part of my life but after selling the five pieces exhibited on the opening night I have gained the confidence to share my creative vision with the world.
