Artist Brian Evans

From a very early age, art has always been a passion. With a background as a design engineer and now, with a grown-up family and time to spare, I have taken a number of courses to allow my painting style to develop. Inspiration comes from a phrase or song title which I then develop into a sketch and subsequent painting. My work centres on contemporary stylised figures where I have tried to find the middle ground between a child-like appeal and good traditional art. The medium I prefer is pastel because of their vibrant colours, this mediums best suits the effects that I like to create. Although I have no formal art education and am self-taught I have always researched and sought out information on the techniques I use. I try to price my art competitively, making it within the reach of most people’s budget; I hope you enjoy looking at my work.
