I was born and educated in Bucharest and attended the Academy of Art in 1979. I have built a solid foundation in atelier style training alongside well-known Romanian artists and I followed this by a lifetime of experimentation.
Drawing or painting is fun but requires devotion, perseverance and hard work. I have had several group and personal exhibitions and I was awarded with important prizes.
Since arriving in England in 1994, I have continued my artistic career developing and extending my techniques.
In my works the subject matter is quite diverse but the main category is Figurative. I am particularly interested in representing the endless diversity of people's features and profiles, glorifying the beauty of the human body.
I work in all media and I am looking to extend my technique and to find new forms of expression. I work with a lot of enthusiasm and pretty quickly. My style of work is spontaneous, vigorous and loose, trying to maintain the freshness.
