Artist Casimira Mostyn

I have always been interested in art. I am partly a self taught artist, who, in fact left college to read modern languages at university. I have attended various evening classes in various mediums but am particularily interested in the techniques of watercolour which, in my opinion, is the most complicated and challenging medium to use. Although I am very versatile I would describe myself as a naive artist as I love bright colours and use this a lot in my art work. Above all I would even go as far as to describe myself as a quirky artist and, although I love to experiment and develop my own style, I tend to specialize in painting hares in a unique and quirky style which I started to develop about two years ago. I have been selling my work for the last few of years very successfully both locally and internationally and I have raised money through selling my art work to the charity I work for and support, "Helen and Douglas House" which is based in Oxford for children and young adults suffering from life debilitating and terminal illnesses.For two months in 2011 and the beginning of 2012 I held an exhibition of about fifty paintings in the Oxford Town Hall and I also had a very positive review of my artwork in the Oxford Times Newspaper. I am also happy to take commissions so please do not hesitate to enquire.
