A fascination with people and social interactions led to a PhD in social psychology focusing on romantic relationships. It is this desire to look beneath the surface of people's displayed exteriors and explore their more intimate thoughts and emotions that ultimately influences my art work.
I am drawn to the relationship between women, time, & emotions. In particular to objects that evoke a sense of nostalgia or romance, and the beautiful but sometimes painfully transient nature of memories and intense moments. I am currently exploring these themes using photography and through assembling boxes that hint at narratives and are designed to provoke latent personal emotions.
Available for sale are limited edition canvas prints of photographs from two collections;
1) "Essential Nature" - A series of black and white self portraits examining personal emotions and states of mind, and
2) "Nostalgia" - A collection of pictures that explore memories and emotions associated with feminine beauty and nostalgia.
