Artist Chris Dewire

I am a representational artist specialising in still life mainly in oils. I believe that a still life is more than just a collection of objects. Each picture should have an underlying message. This could be the flow of light, colour, tone or shape. It could even be the distillation of the air between objects. I have two permanent exhibitions of photography in London Hospitals and now concentrate on still life oil painting which have been exhibited and sold at the Merchant Adventurers Hall in York. My interest in art has been long standing but serious study started in 2006 resulting in a Diploma in Drawing and painting from the London Art College.
