I have completed BTEC and Foundation courses in Art & Design studying sculpture, painting, photography and art history. I have sold work through galleries and directly to clients, completing several commissions. Working mainly in oils and acrylic on canvas I am interested in exploring the properties of thickly painted impasto surfaces and the abstraction of complex subjects through reductive representation. I am inspired by urban and city as well as natural scenes and in my recent work my aim has been to remove the context of the subject so that it can be considered a composition of shapes, colours and textures as well as a representation of a recognisable image.
