Artist Christopher Hughes

Christopher joined the famous Royal Worcester Porcelain company in 1975 and became one of their leading artists, before turning freelance in 1980. Concentrating on watercolour painting ,his work has sold to galleries and collectors throughout the UK, Europe, USA and Japan. Although wildlife and still life dominated his earlier work, it is the countryside and landscape that now features predominantly.Christopher still paints on fine porcelain and produces fine plaques and ornamental vases in the marvellous Worcester tradition. The artist now spends six months each year teaching and painting from his home and studio on the beautiful Greek island of Alonissos. Oil paintings of the colourful, vibrant and unspoilt Aegean landscape are a dramatic contrast to his pastoral Worcestershire scenes.In reaction to the present economic climate i have re-priced all my work to make buying my originals more viable.
