My passion for painting seacapes started last year when I was captivated by the ever changing view of the water from my Devonshire cottage window.
In my seascapes I try and capture a mood, a moment. My painting is a direct response to the emotion evoked by the ever changing light and mood of the landscape. I hope to create a connection with the viewer, an emotional draw.
My painting is bold and spontaneous, created interpretively initially and strengthened and enhanced as the work progresses. Most work is in high quality acrylic paint on canvas.
Horses have always been a passion and in my equine work I try and convey the spirit of the horse in a contemporary and bold way. My love of the Spanish horse runs through alot of my work and I have been lucky enough to own my own Lusitano stallion who provided great inspiration.
I have been painting again seriously for the last two years, after studying art at college previously.
I have had an exhibition late last year in Henley. One of my works has featured on the BBC 2 programme 'Show Me The Monet'. I have a small exhibition space in a gallery in Wallingford.
My work now hangs in both corporate and private collections, as well as a major London space. |
