My commitment to art has been lifelong. I won a local art competition at age 8, a regional one at age 16 and an international competition some years later. At art college I trained as a graphic designer at Bristol and London College of Printing.
I have produced illustration work for promotional print and design, books, packaging and greetings cards. Some illustration work has been seen widely, with distribution, in some cases to more than 22 different countries.
I have always drawn and painted pictures for myself and have over a long period, sold paintings through private commissions or through exhibition.
I have produced many painting commissions in watercolours, although in
recent years oils and acrylics have become my preferred media.
Much of my artwork has a conceptual element to it and sometimes there is an underlying sense of humour as well.
I am a member of the Fine Art Trade Guild in United Kingdom. I was elected a member of the United Society of Artists in 2010.
Some of my original paintings, (in oils and acrylics) will be in 2 central London exhibitions during summer 2012 ( including the NOT the Royal Academy exhibition.
