 I was born and brought up in Zimbabwe and started drawing at a very early age. I loved to sketch anything that interested me and I gradually trained my hand to do what my eyes saw.
Because of my love for wildlife and birdlife, the majority of pictures that I painted had an element of these in them. I also did a failrly wide range of artwork, ranging from landscapes to flowers. My artwork is now spread throughout the world.
The mediums I prefer are pastel or pencil because of the soft textures that both offer. There is so much diversity in pastel and the colours pure which lends itself to creating fantastic artwork if treated correctly.
When I moved to the U.K. in 2000 with my family, I decided to move into doing mainly commissioned pet portraits, along with portraits of horses and people and this has worked very well for me. However, I still love going back to my first love, which is wildlife and birdlife and I will continue to do these in my spare time, and these will be for sale.
