Artist Colin Wynne

An artist, a teacher and a student of life! Educated to Masters level, presently living in North Yorkshire, UK. My background lies around two spheres; teaching and art although I have taken time out of teaching to concentrate on my career as an artist, practice based research and process; all have lead me into re-establishing my goals into the search for an 'inner' meaning to my work which focuses on the abstract ideals of the human condition. A move toward an abstract approach, what interests me personally is the process, materiality and performativity within my artist research, layers, gesture, reciprocal movement and above all colour and its relationship to the psyche, a move toward the monochrome and the sublime.
