I am a 1st class graduate after studying fine art at the University of Portsmouth from the years 2007 to 2011.
I am 28 years of age and a father to one. My work addresses issues relating to philosophy, faith, religion and various art movements throughout recent art history, showing particular attention to minimalism and conceptual art.
I am currently working on a series of work through affirming the fundamental parameters of modern sculpture.
I am interested in the notion of eliminating analogy and metaphor from art and producing art for its own sake.
With the attention shown towards the 1960s, American movement known as minimalism combined with the duchampion attitude, also known as the ready-mades; my work generally shows how art can stand independent from the artist.
The freedom of play, process and experimentation is crucial to my work and I find that the best way to retain this is through the detachment of self involvement and other emotional content, posed by autobiography.
I have so far exhibited in the south eastern region of England on approximately eight separate occasions with two upcoming, group exhibitions based in London in late July this year. My aim is to exhibit throughout Europe by the end of 2013 and to eventually showcase my work through other high status art galleries and museums.
