I studied Graphic Design and Photography from 1982 - 1985.
I worked as a Graphic Designer full-time in London from 1986 - 1992.
In 1987, Apple released to market their first colour Macintosh. I've been hooked on computer-related design ever since.
In 1991, I left full-time employment to work freelance, focused entirely on computer-based design; both Graphic and Software.
In 1994, I designed software for a start-up mobile phone business which grew to be the UK's second largest retailer, embracing over 200 stores nationwide. The company and software were bought in 2000 by one of the large international mobile networks and I was able to retire.
Never one to "sit around - instead of retiring, I started an online personalised printing business that enabled consumers to upload their own images to have printed on to a range of personalised printed gifts. It is said, "Timing is everything". In this instance, my timing was not the best. The business proved to be too ahead of its time and ultimately failed; I was back to "square one"...
It's not often one gets the opportunity to completely re-evaluate one's life. Becoming homeless and virtually broke, gave me that opportunity. Rather than getting back on the "treadmill", I decided to spend my time doing what I love doing; taking photographs. I have always been keen to photograph the world around me and I decided to spend more time doing so and to begin selling the results of my efforts and here I am...
