I was educated to degree standard B.A hons..
The fine art course turned me off painting by desires for art colleges to pursue conceptual art..but returned to it about ten years ago, though I guess, the word 'concepts' occasionally turn up in my route of enquiry, particularly, questioning the meaning of 'beauty'. Most paintings I sell have been made privately, via exhibitions I have held at my home, I find relating my work to others at social occasions like these particularly inspiring. Most galleries require my work to be framed, which tends to double the price of the work. My real vocation is to introduce the usage of creativity into everybodys homes.I find that some peoples attitude to art is encouraged by the media and galleries that charge phenemonally high prices for paintings, making artwork seem like a plaything for the rich, thus reducing the goal of placing meaning in paintings by using complicated semantics.
