Derek Harris is an internationally recognized award winning photographer and artist who has work in private collections in the UK, Europe, USA,
Canada, Australia and Japan. Trained at the Central School of Arts and Crafts he had an early career working in mosaics and stained glass. He then
worked for many years as a professional garden and landscape photographer. His stunning flower portraits are in many collections and he has been
awarded four Royal Horticultural Society's Gold Medals for the pictures.
In recent years he has returned to his first love of painting in which he shows the influence of flowers and the colours, shapes and rhythms of nature, the landscape and seascapes which he shows in a colourful, happy and decorative way. He paints with mixed media and acrylics with bright and stunning effect which cheers on the dullest of days. He spends some time of the year in Cyprus and tries to capture the sunshine and the amazing sunsets of the brightest colours in the sea and the wild landscape.
