I am a self taught artist who has been painting part time for the last 5 years. I have always been a lover of art, design and architecture, drawing my inspiration from many sources.
The vast majority of my work is on canvas using mainly acrylic paint. I have also done some work with watercolour on paper and have recently started using emulsion paint on canvas.
The majority of my paintings are contemporary abstract . Working with shapes and colours I produce both landscape and portrait painting. I prefer not to put too much emphasis on what my paintings represent but would rather they just be enjoyed by the viewer. People observing my paintings will often have their own opinions on what they actually see within the painting.
I draw my inspiration from many artists including Wassily Kandinsky, Pablo Picasso, Roy Lichtenstein, MC Escher and Le Corbusier. One of my greatest inspirations is Jackson Pollock and I have started creating drip paintings using emulsion paint.
I have only been working for a few years but in that time I have built up a large portfolio. Although I haven’t had the chance to exhibit my work yet I have managed to sell many paintings including various commissions. I am now eager to put my work out there and let more people enjoy my paintings.
