Hello, I'm Edward. Thanks for taking a look at my profile and gallery. I am mainly interested in painting with oils on medium to large sized canvas, creating bold expressive art that I hope you enjoy looking at as much as I enjoy painting.
My inspiration comes from my interest in lips and expressions. A person's lips can tell you so much about them, what they are feeling and who they are. For me, the lips are the most important feature.
Looking at the world around us all there is so much going on, everything looks so busy and hurried - why can't we all just slow down a little and focus on the little things? This feeling is reflected in my style. I enjoy getting the paint on the canvas quickly and let the texture of the paint fill in the detail. I see myself as an impressionist painter with a style thats unique and all my own.
My art training? Trial and error! I am a self taught artist and learned to paint by wanting to express myself. I have been painting since I was a child so my style is well developed, mature and professional.
