Artist Eleanor Duxbury

I like watercolour because of its uncertainty. Watercolour paint has a mind of its own and I always experience a sense of adventure when starting a painting. Conversely, I love the colour and vibrancy of acrylic paint. I joined a local art group in 2009 and sold my first ever painting in the group's exhibition the following year.Prior to painting I wrote as a means of expressing myself. Although I still belong to a Writers Group and enjoy writing, painting is now my primary way of expressing myself. I exhibit on a regular basis in local art exhibitions.
