I became interested in drawing and painting at a very early age, which I think was due to my mothers artistic nature. I entered a varietyof competitions and exhibitions in high school, and my talent was nurtured by some wonderful teachers who showed me how to find my own style and path. I went on to study fine arts in university, and a year later moved to africa, where my work had a wonderful reception.
My favourite artist and inspiration is Dali, due to the far reaching symbolism in his works.
Due to this, I have tended towards the abstract in my work, for the sheer range and freedom of creativity one can practice. I find inspiration in the smallest of things and try to integrate this into my work as often as possible.
Other topics for work include fantasy pieces such as fairies and unicorns, as I find the world of make believe very graceful and carefree.
most of my works are done with acrylics and/or oils, but I also enjoy using ink and pencil.
To date I have sold three pieces of work, and I find it extremely rewarding and inspirational to know my work is hanging on someone's wall out there
