Elise Savage



Elise was born in Campbeltown, Argyllshire, Scotland but now lives and works in Nottinghamshire. She is a professional artist and Tutor and works in many mediums, excelling in each. Her figurative, landscape and seascape work is evocative with an impressionistic approach, which reflects the artists unusual sensitivity. Fresh understated dramatic skies or misty romantic scenes have captured art enthusiasts from all walks of life. Her mentor is the late Edward Seago. His sheer genius for capturing light, atmosphere and expression has remained a strong influence in her style of painting She has won awards for her work and many of her paintings have been reproduced as Limited Edition Prints and Greeting Cards. Elise Savage has spent several years in the Middle East and her paintings are held in many private collections throughout the world. She regularly exhibits her work at the following venues: Ferens Art Gallery, Hull Campion Gallery, Rye, East Sussex (Resident Artist) Patchings Farm, Nottinghamshire Buxton Art Gallery, Derbyshire Limited to Art Gallery, Bawtry (Resident Artist) Pierrepoint Gallery, Thorsesby Park, Nottinghamshire (Resident Artist) Great Sheffield Art Exhibition, The Octagon, Sheffield Best in Show 2002 Second Best in Show 2006 Art in the Gardens, Sheffield Botanical Gardens (Best in Show, Second Best in Show and Winning Portrait 2004 Best portrait in Show and runner up (portrait) 2005) Best Figurative work in Show 2006 Commissioned by the Standard Chartered Bank London Her work has also featured in the International Pastel Artists magazine
