Born in the UK, I lived in Manchester until moving to Mauritius in 2002 & recently I returned back to the UK. Since leaving College at the age of 17 I have become a self taught artist.
When I am not painting I create my jewellery range, photography and practice Reiki. I’ve had many life changing & profound moments which I draw upon to grow creatively & share inspiringly through my art.
My paintings begin with feelings derived from statements, poetry and alternative perspectives bordering on a spiritual level. The intention is to create a piece of art which can have an emotional and enlightening impact on the viewer. The purpose is not over-articulating my work. I aspire to enable individual relationships with each onlooker rather than alienating them.
I take pleasure in working the contrasts between the smooth blended airbrush and/or paintbrush, to the rough undulating textures and discovering new ways to create textures, luminosity and depth; I also enjoy uncovering the contrasts connecting and opposing colours and exposing the relationships concealing them.
I choose to take art back to basics, by stripping away any facade I facilitate in sharing the exploration of my inner universe. Take you on a journey of the cosmos around me and the discovery of art being a spiritual experience.
