Emanuela Lupusor is a Fine Artist, freelance illustrator and children’s books writer. A member of the Romanian Union of Artists, she is currently a student in the Fine Art MA course at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. Her paintings and installation art have been shown in galleries both in Bucharest and London, where she is currently living and working. While her paintings are verging on the abstract expressionist style and her installations poetically inhabit an architectural space, in her illustration art, she tries to bring a painter’s vision and she is particularly influenced by such artists as Henri Matisse, Paul Klee and children’s art as well as by the illustrator Maurice Sendak or the animation masterpieces of Yuriy Norshteyn.
