Hello.

I am a professional artist, tarot Reader and complimentary therapist living and working in Sheffield. I completed my BA in Fine Art (Combined And Media) with honours here in Sheffield, and I am currently working on a set of paintings for my own Tarot/Oracle deck. I am strongly influenced by the Surrealism, Abstract Expressionism and Symbolism movements.

I work in a range of media, from heated wax with mixed media, decoupage, photomontage, acrylics,oils, pastels, charcoal, pencils ,to pen and ink.

I am fascinated by mysticism,magic,mythology and folklore and also by the beautiful forms and colours found in nature.

One of my favourite things to work with is the ancient medium encaustic wax, which seems to magically mimic the shapes and textures of both natural and mand-made forms found in our environment. It is almost hypnotic in the way that it draws you in as you melt it and watch it take form. It can also be used for scrying into.

I like to experiment with different surfaces but it works particularly well on ceramic tiles, which allow it to swim on the surface. It has a very spontaneous quality, and each piece has it's own unique energy and personality.
