 Our world is a beautiful world and painting is an expression of my spirituality and my belief in a beautiful God. I can't help but marvel at the beauty of nature that is all around us. I am a contemporary abstract artist and I paint on canvas using acrylics and mixed media producing colourful abstract paintings. Ideas come to me from all sorts of inspirations, especially my Faith and I am always in search of new techniques and mediums to use. I am inspired by the Spirit within and painting is my way of expressing the beauty that comes from inside and appreciating the beauty that surrounds our world. I paint not for myself alone, but to give pleasure, to bless and inspire others. Painting is my way of saying "Thank you" to my Maker, it is an invitation to come into my world, to share, to see and to admire.
I was born in Manchester, England and I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art and Design. I enjoy writing inspirational encouraging blogs & poetry, which have also been an inspiration in some of my paintings. I love the use of texture and I am constantly exploring new ideas.
With the aid of a grant and support from the Prince of Wales Trust I set up a studio in London designing Handpainted silk scarves, ties and wedding accessories and I have had exhibitions and craft shows across the country including Earls Court Olympia and also at the NEC Birmingham. I have worked my way through a number of different art forms and have now come to painting on canvas, which I love and enjoy very much. Through my paintings I hope to bring healing, joy, peace and hope in a broken world.
