Artist Gavin Amatt-carter

I only have GCSE level training in art to date (grade A). Since that time I have only painted in my spare time for fun and to do portraits for family and friends. I was accepted to loughborough colledge of art and design, but in the long run I couldn't afford the repayments on the student loan and I had to have a full time job as I was married with two kids.
In 1996 I worked for Andre Everitt-Stewart Art and Design where I learnt alot about painting and developed my own style; I also helped design a kids activity book for Euro '96. Sadly his business went into receivership.
The 5 paintings I have sold this year were comissioned family portraits - currently people know me by word of mouth.
