I have worked across the disciplines of art and design for over 20 years. I gained my first degree in Fine Art where Daniel Farson described my work as being 'amongst the delights' of the first national Fresh Art Exhibition in London. My Masters degree in Design followed in 2004 and I recently secured a part time studentship award to study at PhD level. I have exhibited across the UK and currently have a growing selection of work represented by a number of local galleries.
This work represents a ‘designed’ simplified landscape where nature dominants but the human spirit triumphs. The semi-rural landscape in which I live, bears the scars of its working past but also celebrates the close, often isolated communities that inhabit the hilltops and vales. |
