I have been interested in art for many years.
Combining my interest in past and present artists work, along with my general observations of life helps when planning a picture.
I am particulary interested in capturing the human form, this can be in a natural or unnatural state where mass bulk and distortion play a part to produce arresting images.
Other key elements that I like to use in my pictures are materials made from - stone,wood and metal.
These ideally will be captured in a worn and distressed state.
Overall my main aim is to capture form texture, action, tension and calmness within my work.
My preferred medium is pastel.
