Artist Heidi Keely

Heidi Keely studied a textile degree at University. Immediately after leaving University she went straight into the Interior design business, as well as doing this she ran a successful furniture painting business. This developed into accepting commissions for murals for homes and businesses, through the competitive mural business where speed is the key, she has developed an almost impressionistic way of describing the scene in a series of bold, large brush strokes and harmonious colour. Heidi uses the same method in her paintings where the simplicity of the forms depicted are brought to life by the clever use of colour and texture. Her work is inspired by her numerous visits to Cornwall and the south of France which capture the laid back feel of perfect days in the summertime.
