Artist Helen Mills

I am very lucky to be able to find the time to paint, draw and take photographs. As a kid, I loved nothing better than drawing our house, making 'things', (whatever that happened to be), and to just be creative. This carried on as I grew up and although I haven't had any formal training as such, I have attended many art classes over the years and courses to develop my skills and find my own style. In recent years I have been painting more and have found that I have a love of all things relating to the sea....whether it's lighthouses, boats, the shoreline or pretty shells. I adore nature and love taking photographs of flowers, sketching them, and painting them. I think England has some wonderful and stunning places, and I love going out and sketching, which I then turn into paintings. My style is constantly changing and I enjoy experimenting with all mediums, such as watercolours, acrylics and oils. I can't wait to see what's in store for me in the next few years...
