 Self taught, I have worked in most mediums, but it is the pencil – graphite and colour - that lures me the most. Having always been around animals I have spent much time studying the characters and their unique behaviours, and then being able to capture them on paper brings me immense pleasure. I like to draw the animal as it is, to bring out all its own qualities and personality. Colour, shading and blending in pencils allows me to capture the animals main features, be it the eyes of a dog, or the muscle and tone of a horse. I am also passionate about nature and like to capture this in my artwork too. I enjoy working in the smaller scale and also do miniature pet portraits on a commission basis.
