Artist Horace Cornflake

For many years I was a writer under my real name of Ken Ross. For the final two decades of the Twentieth Century I made my living by writing articles for a whole host of magazines, and publishing children's books. Becoming an artist had never crossed my mind, although I outlined hundreds of illustrations for a publishing company. However, in the Seventies I did sell a few pastel drawings under the name of Horace Cornflake. During the opening ten years of this century I had become a bit stale after non-stop creation for thirty years. Then in 2010 my aunty died, which came as a shock. Her death triggered a fresh desire to create, and once again I find myself working very long days in pursuit of artistic attainment. About 100 paintings and 100 photographs have been produced in just over the last year. My hopes are to emulate my successes in literature and forge a new career in something I find very rewarding.
