I studied Fine Art at Birmingham College of Art.
My subject matter has changed over the years.
Although I still work from the male and female human form and also produce portraits - I have turned to producing images of architecture and, most recently, musical instruments. I intend to work my way through the orchestra. If you would like a painting of a particular instrument I haven't yet painted - leave me a message by clicking on the "make an enquiry" tab (available on any of the pages showing full images of my work). I will produce a painting in the same style, put it on the site for you to see and you can purchase it if you like it.
During the last three years I have visited many European cities gathering material for an exhibition entitled "The Grand Tour". I have successfully mounted this one man exhibition twice this year.
In my work I am keen to exploit the colour and texture which can be seen in architecture, enhancing this richness in the way I apply paint to the canvas. As my travels continue, the breadth of my work will expand. Whether or not the viewer knows or has visited the buildings depicted, the painting should excite by its freshness of approach.
My work is owned by collectors across the UK and Europe.Artgallery rating
