I began my professional career as a civil engineer later becoming a teacher specialising in graphic design.
I have had work accepted for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition plus successful one man exhibitions in Edinburgh and throughout the North West of England. Many of my paintings have also been purchased internationally.
Publications include limited edition prints and a book titled 'Lakeland Landscapes'.
Artists who have influenced my work include Turner, Bellamy, Wallake and Kemp.
I like to study shape line colour and texture for each composition and then work freely with watercolour.
I use a variety of subjects for my paintings, although living close to the Lake District I find I am rarely short of inspiration for my landscapes.
